Ashley has learned how to work well as an individual, as well as how to work well in a group. Whitewater has helped her to learn the balance needed when working on projects.
In her Public Relations classes, she has worked with real life clients to provide them with the information and materials they request. She has worked on creating a campaign to increase awareness and to influence the public's perception of the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission, to increase a positive public opinion on a serious topic in the Jefferson School District, and is currently working on a campaign with the Badger Honor Flight to achieve their goals.
Outside of school, Ashley has worked hard to excel in any job she has had. She worked to become the best she could be and to continue to grow in the companies she worked for.
Since she was 16, Ashley has been helping to organize and maintain the school district's monthly middle school dance. At 17, Ashley started working at Stonefire where she quickly grew in the company and was offered the opportunity to train new employees. She was also offered the opportunity to be recognized as the lead party host at Stonefire, which was an achievement that was only awarded to one person who was employed in the department. After Stonefire, Ashley began working at KEI where she worked in flower landscaping and was able to supervise her own crew.
In the summer of 2013, Ashley began gaining experience in her fields of study. Ashley worked as a Marketing Intern at Foto Search. Here she was able to explore different aspects of Marketing and was able to learn more about search engine optimization, Google Adwords, and how to maintain different social media sites and gain exposure.
Ashley finished her last semester at UW-Whitewater and graduated on December 14th, 2013. She is looking forward to starting the next chapter in her life and hopes to reach the goals she has set for her future.
